「雖然、儘管、然而、不過…」的英文怎麼說？寫論文、對話、發表簡報、英文寫作等的時候，都常常會需要用到「…雖然」、「儘管…」、「然而…」、「不過…」等等這樣的英文語句。

當別人詢問你意見、喜好時，回答的好方法是先從讚美你不支持的另一個選項開始。再陳述自己的意見。假如有人問你:你喜歡吃餐廳?還是吃家裡呢? 比起直接說I love restaurant.， Although some people love eating at home, I prefer eating at restaurant. 的答案會更好一些。

1.Although +… 雖然

although可以放在句首或是句中，但是不能放在句尾。although放在句首的時候，後面要加上逗號，如果放在句中，則不用。

例：
Although some people prefer waking up late, I prefer waking up early.
雖然有些人喜歡晚起，但我傾向早起。

例：
Although learning English is fun, many students find it difficult.
雖然學習英文很有趣，但有些學生感覺很難。

2.Even though + … 雖然

even though的中文意思是指「雖然」的意思，通常放在句首，後面要加上逗號。

例：Even though skiing is a lot of fun, I rather go to the beach.
雖然滑雪很有趣，我還是寧願去海邊。

例：Even though Canada is a good country, Canada has problems.
雖然加拿大是個好國家，仍然很多問題。

3.Despite + 名詞 儘管

despite 與 in spite of 用法一樣，可以放句首或句中，後面接上名詞。

例：Despite the peace of the country, I prefer living in the city.
儘管鄉下寧靜，我比較喜歡住在城市。

例：Despite the night life, I would prefer living in the country. 儘
管夜生活不錯，我寧願住在鄉下

4._______; nevertheless, 然而，不過

nevertheless當成副詞的時候，中文意思是指「仍然，不過，然而」的意思。而 nevertheless 的句型通常長得像這樣：_______; nevertheless, 。也就是位於分號後面，後面再加上逗號。

例：Some people like living in the city; nevertheless, I like living in the country side.
許多人喜歡住在城市，然而我喜歡住在鄉村。

例：Some people love their politicians; nevertheless, I find politician are not always honest.
許多人喜歡自己支持的政客，然而我卻發現有些政客很不誠實。

5._______; however, 然而

however當成副詞或是連接詞的時候，中文意思是指「然而，可是，不過，不管怎樣，無論如何」的意思。

however 的句型通常長這樣：_______; however,。也就是位於分號後面，然後後面再加上逗號。

however 當作「然而，不過」的意思的時候，通常會連接兩個句子，並有語氣上的轉折。

例：Some people love movies; however, I prefer books.
有些人喜歡電影，然而我卻愛閱讀。
