一般來說，直接給別人建議，可能會說：
1.Go to ……
這樣聽起來可能太過直接，較為委婉的說法如下：
2.You should go to ……
但是有更委婉的說法：
3.If I were you, I would go to ……
利用If I were you, I would …(如果我是你，我會…)的說法，可以讓人感到你很有禮貌。
範例：
1.If I were you, I would stop smoking.
2.If I were you, I would look for a new job.
3.If I were you, I would finish university.
4.If I were you, I would accept their offer.
5.If I were you, I would buy the house.
6.If I were you, I would arrive by 6 pm.
