1.stand in
stand in 有取代的意思。當你無法達成某件事，而必須讓他人取代你時，就可以用stand in。
ex.She will stand in for me while I am away on holiday.
2.stand down
stand down有退出、退職的意思。例如離開某個工作崗位或離職時，就可以這樣用。
ex.She will stand down as president of the company before her sixtieth birthday.
3.stand out
stand out有顯著、突出的意思。當某人表現特別傑出時，就可以用sand out。

4.stand by
stand by有準備的意思，代表你正等待著做某件事。

5.stand up
