劍橋字典對 admire 的解釋為「to respect and approve of someone or their behaviour」，意思可以翻譯為「欽佩；讚賞」的意思唷。
例：
I admired him for his determination.
我很欽佩他那堅毅的性格。

我很佩服你。

I admire her for her perseverance.
我佩服她的毅力。
讚賞英文二、appreciate 用法
跟讚賞有關的第二個英文單字為 appreciate，appreciate 用法很多，意思也不少。appreciate 意思有欣賞、感激、了解…等多個意思。
劍橋字典對 appreciate 的解釋為「to recognize how good someone or something is and to value him, her, or it」，意思可以翻譯成「欣賞」。
比起 admire ，appreciate 的意思更接近中文裡面的「欣賞」。
例：
Can you appreciate good wine?

比起「欣賞」的意思，其實 appreciate 用法更多是在「感激」的意思唷。
例：
