「片語動詞」(phrasal verbs)總能讓我們在日常生活當中，不需使用艱難的字彙就能表達各種含意！
English Like A Native的講師Anna提出了三個「b」開頭的片語動詞：believe in、blow up、break down，每個片語動詞都有兩種以上不同含意，學一個就有多種用法，讓你英文實力大幅飆升！
1. Believe in
Explanation: to believe the existence of something or to have a strong confidence in something.
相信某件事物的存在 / 對某件事有極大信心
e.g. I believe in ghost. 我相信有鬼。
e.g. He will win the race. I believe in him. 他會贏得比賽的，我相信他。
2. Blow up
Explanation: to inflate with air like a balloon or a bicycle tire / to explode (emotionally or physical)
充氣 / 爆炸 / 勃然大怒
e.g. Will you help me blow up this balloon? 你可以幫我吹這顆氣球嗎？
e.g. Mom blew up when John admitted that he stole the money. 當John承認是他偷的錢時，媽媽勃然大怒。
e.g. A bomb will blow up in ten seconds. 炸彈將會在十秒內爆炸。
3. Break down
Explanation: to stop working / when someone gets upset and starts to cry / mental or physical health is deteriorating / relationship or agreement break down
停止運轉 / 情感失去控制 / 惡化(身心健康) / 關係破裂
e.g. My car/computer might break down. 我的車/電腦可能會失靈。
e.g. I broke down when I saw these beautiful puppies. 當我看到那些可愛的狗，我無法控制自己的情緒。
e.g. The relationship between us is breaking down. 我們之間的關係惡化。
