【英文片語】turn in、turn on、turn over、hook up、work out 中文意思是？

在每天的日常對話當中，片語動詞(Phrasal verbs)的使用範圍非常廣泛，而且一字多義能讓我們在學習一個片語動詞的同時就有三種不同使用方式！

Go Natural English的講師Gabby Wallace提出了五個片語動詞：turn in、turn on、turn over、hook up、work out，各有幾種不同含意，因此學習片語動詞可是事半功倍呢！

1. Turn in 上床睡覺、交還、告發某人

e.g. It’s time to turn in. Good night. 是時候該睡覺了，晚安。
e.g. Please turn in your paper to the teacher. 請把你的考卷交給老師。
e.g. The criminal turned himself in to the police. 那位罪犯向警方自首了。

2. Turn on 打開、使興奮、激發、介紹(某件人事物)

e.g. Josh turned on the light at the evening. John晚上把燈打開。
e.g. The man turned her on when she saw him smiling. 當那個男人微笑，她便開始神魂顛倒。
e.g. Just turn on your imagination and start painting! 開啟你的想像力並開始創作吧！
e.g. My parents turned me on to the singer. 我的父母向我介紹了這位歌手。

3. Turn over 翻轉、把某人交給

e.g. The man turned over a new leaf after he was released from jail. 這男人出獄後洗心革面，開啟人生新的一頁。
e.g. The brave man turned the robber over to the police. 那位英勇的男人將搶匪送交給警方。

4. Hook up 把某人/某物與某物連結、介紹某人認識

e.g. The nurse hooked the patient up to the oxygen tubes. 護士幫病人接上氧氣管。
e.g. I hooked John up with Sandy. 我將John介紹給Sandy。

5. Work out 解決、鍛鍊

e.g. The team cannot work out the difficult problem. 這個團隊無法解決這個困難的問題。
e.g. I work out in the gym everyday. 我每天都在健身房裡運動。
