英文有趣的地方就是：有時候字面上的意思並不是真正的意思，但同時這也表示，對於母語不是英文的人而言，可是一不小心就很容易鬧出笑話。
Let’s talk 的英文老師特地整理了 10 個日常生活中常用的句子，用詞不難、意思易懂，只要搞清楚句子的原意，便能夠輕鬆地在日常會話中使用。
1. Long time no see 好久不見
好久不見，對一陣子不見的朋友的問候語。
2. Twenty four seven
指的是一天二十四小時、一周七天。
e.g. Hospitals function 24/7.
3. Beat around the bush 拐彎抹角
說話拐彎抹角，故意把話說得迂迴。
e.g. Stop beating around the bush and just get to the point.
4. Sick and Tired
對某件事感到生氣或厭倦了。
e.g. I am sick and tired of trying to lose weight.
5. What’s the catch
指某件事情聽起來太好了，讓人懷疑是不是另有隱情。
e.g. Sam wants to sell his car for $500 only you would be thinking
Hum!! what’s the catch.
6. Give me a hand
尋求幫助的意思。
e.g. Can you give me a hand.
7. It’s a small world/What a small world.
指某件事太巧了，讓你覺得這世界真小。
e.g. Oh! What a small world , I met you yesterday in a seminar.
8. Back and forth
來來回回好幾次。
e.g. Peter have been running back and forth for his college admission.
9. Come on
帶有拜託、催促的意味。
e.g. Come on I only have few minutes before I must go.
10. Fat chance
機會渺茫的意思。
e.g. There is a fat chance of our team winning as we performed really very well.
