講師Rachna於Let’s Talk網站上，提供了四種不同情況中，‘supposed to’的正確使用方式。
首先，‘supposed to’和‘be (is, am, are, was, were) ’一起使用。
1.當你想說的是‘it is believed或it is said’
範例：The new James Bond film is supposed to be good.
範例：Starbucks coffee is supposed to be the best.
2.當你想說預期要做什麼…
範例：I am supposed to get to work at 8 am.
範例：You are supposed to do your homework daily.
3.過去用法，當某事應該要發生，實際上卻沒有…
範例：You were supposed to call me last night.
範例：John and Maria were supposed to get married last month.
4.否定用法，表示禁止做某事…
範例：You are not supposed to smoke in here.
範例：I am not supposed to tell you the details of what was discussed in the meeting.
