wrap 中文意思是？ wrap 本身有包、包裹的意思，但其實 wrap 衍伸出來的英文片語很多，例如wrap up/wrapped/under wraps/wrap around/wrapping…等等，這些英文片語跟單字，你都知道意思了嗎。

1、wrap 包、裹

例：This present is wrapped. These ones are not.

這份禮物包裝好了。這些還沒。

2、wrapped（=rapt）極高興的；極興奮的

wrapped 中文意思為極度高興的、極為興奮的，也可寫作rapt。

例：He’ll be rapt to hear the news.

他會很高興聽到這個消息。

例：My mum was rapt to hear that I’ll be in Melbourne for Christmas.

我媽聽說我要在墨爾本過聖誕節，她很高興。

3、wrap up 包、裹

to cover something, usually with paper, or thin material

表示覆蓋東西，通常用紙或薄材料

例：I need to wrap these presents.

= I need to wrap up these presents.

我要把這些禮物包好。

例：Can you wrap this cheese up and put it in the fridge for me?

你能把這個奶酪包起來放在冰箱裡嗎？

4、wrap (someone) up 使某人穿的暖和

例：It’s cold outside. Keep him wrapped up nice and tight.

外面很冷。要穿暖穿緊。

5、wrap (something) up 完成

to end or finish something 表示結束或完成某事

例：We’d better wrap this up, it looks like it’s about to rain.

我們最好快點完成，看起來好像要下雨了。

例：I’m so glad we’ve wrapped up our assignment. Now we can enjoy the weekend!

我很高興我們完成了任務。現在我們可以享受這週末了！

例：Have you wrapped up that project yet, or are you still working on it?

你已經完成了該項目嗎，或者您仍在進行該項目？

6、wrap around (wrap round) 用…裹住

to put something around something else 表示在…周圍放上…

例：She’s over there, with the purple towel wrapped around her.

她在那邊，用紫色毛巾包裹著她。

例：He has a tattoo wrapped around his left arm.

他的左臂上有紋身。

例：It’s a beautiful painting. I love how her arm is wrapped around his waist.

例：Each of the little cupcakes had a bow wrapped around it.

7、have (someone) wrapped around (one’s) finger 隨意擺佈某人（有點調皮、惡作劇的意味）

to have complete control over someone 完全地控制某人，表示對某人有很大影響力或控制力，讓某人去做任何你想做的事

例：My friend’s daughter has her dad wrapped around her little finger.

我朋友的女兒能隨意擺佈他爸爸。

例：Once you’ve got him wrapped around your finger, ask him to fly you to Paris on his next business trip!

一旦你能擺佈他了，就要求他下次出差時帶你去巴黎!

8、keep (something) under wraps 保持秘密

to say that something is concealed, or being kept a secret 形容事情被隱藏，或是被保密了

例：We’ve got some really exciting news, but we’re trying to keep it under wraps until my mum gets her on Friday!

我們收到了一些非常令人振奮的消息，但我們一直試著將其保密，直到我媽媽星期五將她送走！

例：The government failed to keep the news under wraps.

政府將這新聞保密失敗了。

例：Let’s try to keep it under wraps until after the weekend.
