英文 All 的各種用法跟中文意思！

All在英文裡的意思是指every one 的意思，你可以想做是“the whole”的意思，是指某群裡面的整個。all 後面可以接the、my、this，或是數字。

例：All the trees had died.
全部的樹都死掉了。

例：All my family were at the party.
我家人都在舞會裡。

例：All this food must be eaten today.
所有這些食物今天必須吃完。

例：All 50 students took test.
全部的五十個學生都考了試。

The 是定冠詞，當你用the的時候，代表你指定的是某個人或事物。但是當你指的是整群人的時候，而不是指特定的某群，那麼all後面可以不加上the。

例：All children love stories.（指所有小孩，沒有指特定的某群小孩）
所有的小孩都愛故事。

例如all day或是all night，就不用加the。

例：I spent all day looking for my car keys.
我花整天尋找我的車鑰匙。

常見的all of 用法後面可以接all of us, all of them, all of you, all of this…等等。

例：
He brought gifts for all of us.
他為我們每人買了禮物。

例：
I need to speak to all of you for a few minutes.
我需要跟你們每個人談幾分鐘。

例：
All of this has to go out into the rubbish bin.
所有這些都必須放入垃圾桶。

All也可以當作副詞用。

例：
The kids all go to school on the same bus.
孩子們都乘坐同一輛公共汽車去學校。

例：
The students are all here now.
學生們都在這裡。

All也可以當作代名詞用。

例：
All that we had been told turned out to be true.
我們被告知的一切都是事實。

After all 大致上有兩個用法，中文意思可表達為終究或是畢竟的意思。

例：
The rain has stopped, so the game will go ahead after all.
雨已經停了，所以比賽還會繼續下去。

例：
Why don’t you invite Jenny? After all, you do work with her every day.
你為什麼不邀請珍妮？畢竟，您每天都和她一起工作。
