基本定義：to have in the mind 想
to consider, reflect on, or ponder 考慮.深思
ex. Can I have a day to think about this?
我可以有一天的時間想想嗎？
ex. He’s thinking about what to do next.
他要想一下接下來要做什麼。
to create something by thinking 透過思考去創造一些東西
ex. We thought up so many crazy party ideas in college.
我們在大學裡想到了好多瘋狂的派對想法。
ex. She thought up a plan for product promotion.
她想到一項產品推廣的計畫。
to have as an expectation 預期.有期望的
ex. I didn’t think you’d arrive so quickly.
我不認為你這麼快就到了。
ex. We thought it would take a lot longer to finish dinner.
我想我們晚餐會花一段很長的時間。
to consider suitability 考慮合適性
ex. I’ve never thought of him like a manager.
我從沒想過她像是經理。
ex. We’re thinking of her for a higher position.
我們正在考慮讓他獲得更高的職位。
think better of 決定不做..，改變原來的想法
表示重新考慮並作出不同的決定
ex. I wanted to say something, but I thought better of it and kept my month shut.
我想說些什麼，但我決定不說了並且閉上我的嘴。
ex. We’ll think better of you if you tell the truth.
如果你說實話，那我們會重新考慮你。
think much of 滿意.稱許.贊成
to have a positive view ; to approve of
表示對…有正向的評價 ; 滿意.好的看法
ex. He doesn’t think much of his professor.
他不滿意他的教授。
ex. We didn’t think much of last night’s dinner.
我們不喜歡昨天的晚餐。
