朋友不開心,安慰話術讓他暖心!

“A friend in need is a friend indeed”,所謂患難見真情。當身邊朋友可能丟了工作,心情很沉重,這時要如何用貼切的英文安慰他呢?Jade在《engVid》介紹了許多安慰話術,首先

1. 問題是了解對方狀況最好的辦法了,我們可以從問題切入,例如:

“What are you going to do now?”
你現在計畫好要做什麼嗎?

“Have you though about training again?”
你有想過去申請些培訓嗎?

“Are you looking for another job?”你要現在找找看其他工作嗎?

2. 有時Advice”建議”可能不是你朋友目前要的,但如果你想勸勸他多方試試,告訴他:

“You should get to the job center.”
你該去職涯中心問問看。

“If I were you, I would…”
如果我是你,我會怎麼做…..

如果你想叫他試著踏出一步,不妨可說:

“Have you consider calling your colleague you used to work with to tell them you are looking for jobs now?”
“你有沒有考慮過打給前同事,告訴他你正在找工作呢?”

“Have you thought about being a movie star?”
你有沒有想過當個電影明星呀?

如果朋友不知道該怎麼做,這時你可以分享你的經驗Share your experience,或是其他人失業時都怎麼做。例如:

你可以告訴他你曾失業時,是因為公司的經濟問題,不是自身的問題。
“When I was redundant it was a big shock.”

“When Sally lost her job, she took the opportunity to retrain.”
當莎莉丟了工作時,她趁這空閒接受其他培訓。

“At first I was anxious, but I soon saw it was a blessing in disguise.”
原先我很焦慮,但仔細想想,或許下個工作會更好。

3. 告訴你的朋友你願意Offer help or support,提供幫助、支持,你可以告訴他:

“Let me know if there’s anything I can do.”
如果有任何需要幫助的事,告訴我一聲。

“I’m here for you.”
我在你身邊,別擔心。

“Don’t worry, everything will be OK.”
事情會變好的。

“Something will come up.”
事情會水到渠成的。

4. 如果朋友一直悶悶不樂,偶爾開點玩笑Make a joke或許會讓他心情沒這麼沉重。

“Cheer up the worse things have happened.”
開心點,最糟的事都發生了。

“Hey guess what? I just got promotion!”
嘿!告訴你,我剛升遷了。

“Hey, why the long face?”
嘿!幹嘛板著臉呀?

朋友有時需要的不只是建議,一些關心的問題也可以讓他心情好點。
