英文In contrast /by contrast 用法與中文意思教學來囉！In contrast 跟 by contrast 意思幾乎一樣，都是指「相反、相比之下」的意思，只是In contrast 比較常見，而且In contrast 跟 by contrast 在用法上有一點點的不同。

1.In contrast 相比、相較之下
In contrast 用來比較兩個事物，In contrast 後面可以接to 或是 with。In contrast 比起 In comparison ，在語氣上更為強烈一點。
例：
Julia is an optimistic person. In contrast, Josh is pessimistic.
Julia是個樂觀的人。相反地，Josh則很悲觀。
例：
This bag is big in contrast with that one.
這個袋子比那個大。
例：
In contrast to her sister, she is very tall.
與姐姐相比，她很高。
2.by contrast 相比、相較之下
by contrast 比起 in contrast 來說，較不那麼常用。by contrast 用法跟in contrast 差不多，by contrast 可以單獨出現
，或是後面接 with 。by contrast 後面只能接with，不能接to 唷。
例：
In the south much of the land is flat. By contrast, in the north there are hills and mountains everywhere.
在南部，大部分土地都是平坦的。 相反，在北部到處都是丘陵和山脈。
