if 的意思跟用法應該大家都不陌生，if是「假如、如果」的意思，在英文的第一條件和第二條件的情況下，英文應該怎麼表示呢？還有Unless、As long as、Supposing (that)，它們的英文意思又是什麼？如何替代 if 的第一條件和第二條件？

1、if 第一條件
我們用它來談論將來可能發生的事情（是真實的），並且很有可能發生！
用法句型：IF +現在簡單，WILL +動詞
例：If I miss the bus, I will take a taxi.
如果我錯過公車，我會搭計程車。
例：If they lose the game, they won’t go to the finals.
如果他們輸了比賽，就不會進入決賽。
例：If you get too close to the flames, you’ll get burned.
如果你太靠近火焰，會被燙傷。
2、if 第二條件
用它來談論不可能的現狀和不大可能發生的未來狀況（非真實的）
用法句型：IF +過去簡單，WOULD +動詞
例：If I missed the bus, I would take a taxi.
如果我錯過公共汽車，我會搭計程車。
例：If they lost the game, they wouldn’t go to the finals.
如果他們輸了比賽，就不會進入決賽。
例：If you got too close to the flames, you’d get burned.
如果你太靠近火焰，會被燙傷。
在第一條件和第二條件的狀況下，若不使用if，也可以使用下面詞語來代替。
3、Unless 除非 ; 除了在…情況下
表示if…not or except if ，「除非、除了在…情況下」的意思，但不能用來談論無法改變的過去情況。
例：Unless it rains soon, the lake will dry up.
= If it rains soon, the lake won’t dry up.
除非很快地下雨，否則湖將乾dry。
例：Unless she apologises, I will not forgive her.
除非她道歉，否則我不會原諒她。
例：Unless it gets below zero degrees, the water won’t freeze.
除非水低於零度，否則水不會凍結。
例：Unless they fired me, I wouldn’t leave the company.
除非他們解僱我，否則我不會離開公司。
4、As long as 只要、如果
表示設定一個限制，if and only if。通常會用在第一條件狀況下。
例：As long as I get time off of work, I’ll come for a visit.
只要我下班有時間，我就會來參觀。
例：As long as it’s not too crowded, we’ll stay for dinner.
只要不會太擁擠，我們就留下用餐。
例：As long as he finishes his homework, he’ll joined you at the skatepark.
只要他完成作業，他就會和你一起去滑板場。
5、Supposing (that) 猜，推測（與願望相反的預測）
表示告訴聽者想像這個狀況。可以在第一條件和第二條件的狀況下使用，但通常會用在第二條件下，因為是想像的。
例：Supposing I can change my flight, I’ll come a few days earlier.
假設我可以更改航班，我會早幾天來。
例：Supposing you got a huge Christmas bonus, would you go on a holiday?
假設您獲得了一大筆的聖誕節獎金，您會去度假嗎？
