在英文中，其實有許多俚語跟「手」脫不了關係，今天講師Michelle就要來教大家10個關於手的片語，有助於活用在日常英文的溝通。
1.Be hand in glove with
a.表示與某人親近
ex. John and Sara are hand in glove with each other.
b.表示與人合作愉快
ex. The teacher and the professor work hand in glove with each other.
c.表示私下勾結
ex. The gangs are working hand in the police.
2.Can’t lay one’s hands on
表示找不到某件事物或人。
ex. I can’t lay my hands on your book now. I will return you later.
3.Change hands
表示換人主導。
ex. We built our house in 1917, and since then, no one has changed hands.
4.Eat out of someone’s hands
表示某人被控制。
ex. The crowd was eating out of the band’s hands in the concert.
5.First hand
表示親身經歷、親眼目睹。
ex. I watched that accident first hand.
6.Have a free hand with something
表示擁有自由做任何自己想做的事情。
ex. I couldn’t perform much better that I had get a free hand with the last project.
7.Off hand
表示當下的狀況。
ex. I don’t have the answer off hand. I will answer you later.
8.At hand
表示某件事物很接近。
ex. The exam is at hand that we need to prepare now.
9.Wash one’s hands of
表示想脫離、遠離某件事情。
ex. I want to wash my hands of my boyfriend.
10.Be in someone’s hand
表示需要對某人負責。
ex. You are in my hand so that I should protect you tonight.
