1. Do we call pets he, she or it?
Answer: Yes, we like to use “he” or “she”. We usually use “it” for wild animals.
在英文中，我們時常會用he/she來稱呼狗狗，而較常使用it來稱呼野生動物。
2. What is pet hair called?
Answer: fur (n.) 動物毛髮
3. What is pet hands called?
Answer: paws (n.) 腳爪
4. What does canine mean? Puppy?
Answer: Canine is another way to say “dog”, but “canine” is more scientific sounding. Puppy means a baby dog. Canine有犬科動物之意，是較為科學的稱呼。而puppy則是用來形容幼犬、小狗。
5. What sound does a dog make?
Answer: woof woof, ruff ruff, bark 狗的叫聲在英文中通常會如此形容。
6. What do you call a dog with no home?
Answer: stray / street dog 流浪狗
7. Grammar question: “I like dog” or “I like dogs” ?
Answer: “I like dog” sounds like “I like to eat dog. “I like dogs” means you think they’re really cute and funny.
若使用I like dog，代表的是「我喜歡吃狗肉」；而使用I like dogs則代表「我喜歡狗這種動物」。
