Age的英文用法跟中文意思，你已經知道怎麼用了嗎？Age在英文裡面是個名詞，用以表達某個人的年紀、年齡。

例：She looks a lot younger but she is actually the same age as me.
她看起來年輕很多，但實際上和我年齡相同。

Age最常見的句型之一是：At the age of …
中文意思是指在…的年齡。

例：
He started to play golf at the age of three.
他三歲開始打高爾夫球。

例：The two brothers started their careers as teachers at the ages of thirty and thirty-three.
兩兄弟在 30 歲和33 歲時開始了自己的老師職業生涯。

這裡要注意的是： in the age of …這個句型是錯誤的，沒有這樣的用法唷。正確的用法要用at。

另外，當我們指某個人年齡的時候，你可以用age，也可以用old。

例：
He is a fully qualified pilot and is only twenty-five years of age.
他是一名合格的飛行員，只有二十五歲。（更正式的用法）

例：
He is a fully qualified pilot and is only twenty-five years old.
他是一名合格的飛行員，只有二十五歲。（不太正式的用法）

當直接詢問某人的年齡或事物的年齡時，我們通常不使用age。

而當你要問某個人年齡的時候，你可以用How old…. 這樣的句型。

例：
How old are you?
多大了你？

例：
How old is your car?
你的車齡多大了？

除此之外，age，也可以用來指一段很長的時間，或是指某個歷史時期。

During the Ice Age, the whole of Britain was covered in a sheet of ice.

最後，Middle age則是指一個人的中年，年齡介於40~65歲之間。

例：
Middle age is the most prosperous time of life for many people.
中年是許多人一生最繁榮的時期。
