「 let 」的中文意思有讓….的意思，除此之外，是否還有什麼其他的英文用法呢？

基本定義：to allow, to permit 允許
to allow to enter or leave 允許進入或離開
ex. Please let us in ! It’s cold！
請讓我們進去！好冷！
ex. ( Police ) I’ll let you go with a warning.
我會允許你離開，但還是要警告你！
use with imperative ; to request, propose 要求.提議（與命令一起使用）
這是比較正式的說法
ex. Let us see.
讓我們看看。
ex. Let us consider these options.
讓我們考慮一下這些選擇。
to rent rooms (British English) 出租（這是英式英文，美式不這樣使用）
ex. He let a room to a young woman from another city.
他出租一個房間給另一個城市的年輕女子。
ex. I’m letting a room from a wealthy couple.
我從一對富裕的夫婦那租房。
to let go 解僱
ex. Management decided to let half of us go this month.
管理階層決定解僱我們一半的人。
ex. I’m sorry, but we have to let you go.
很抱歉我們必須讓你走。
to let go 放鬆.釋放.鬆開
ex. Try to let go of your stress .
試著釋放你的壓力。
ex. Let go of me.
放開我。
let out 給予某東西自由.釋放自由
ex. Let me out of this room.
讓我出去這房間。
ex. She let out a terrifying scream.
她發出一聲可怕的尖叫聲。
let (someone) have it 攻擊.抨擊某人
ex. My boss let me have it this morning. I made a huge mistake this week.
我老闆今早對我吼叫了，我這禮拜犯了一個大錯。
ex. Did you see that fight? The smaller guy really let the bigger guy have it!
