怎樣說英文,才不會顯得你沒禮貌?英文中的軟性字眼,像是 thank you, please, possibly等都很常使用,當你在問問題或是回應時,如果你不想讓人覺得無禮.不客氣,加入這些軟性字的提問或回答,會讓對方聽起來很有禮貌,語氣上也比較柔和。

提問時…
1. Can I take this chair, please?
>> Could I borrow this chair, please?
>> Could I possibly borrow this chair?
我可以借這張椅子嗎?
2. May I turn the music down?
>> Would you mind turning the music down, please?
你介意把音樂調小聲嗎?
3. Could I ask you to move your chair, please?
>> Could I just ask you to move your chair, please?
我可以請你移一下椅子嗎?
4. Roll up your sleeve.
>> Could you just roll up your sleeve, for me?
你能為我捲起你的袖子嗎?
5. Sign your name there.
>> Could you sign your name there, for me?
你能幫我在這簽名嗎?
6. Do you have a member’s card?
>> Do you have a members card at all?
你有會員卡嗎?
拒絕時…
7, I’m a bit busy at the moment.
>> If you don’t mind I’m a bit busy at the moment, can we catch up in the afternoon?
如果你不介意的話,我現在有點忙,我們下午再說好嗎?
8. we’re using that chair.
>> I’m sorry we’re using that chair.
很抱歉我們剛好在用那張椅子。
9. We need those books.
>> I’m afraid we need those books.
恐怕我們需要那些書。
不同意時…
10. I disagree with you there.
>> I have to say, I disagree with you there.
我不得不說 我不同意你這一點。
11. I agree with you there.
>> I’m not sure I agree with you there.
我不確定我是否同意你的看法。
12. That’s the case. 情況就是這樣
>> I’m not convinced that’s the case.
我不相信就是這樣~
13. In my experience, women are as good as men.
>> I have to say, in my experience women are as good as men.
我不得不說..根據我的經驗,女性跟男性一樣好。
14. She’s a very experienced teacher, but…
>> I understand your point she’s a very experienced teacher, but…
>> I take your point she’s a very experienced teacher, but…
我同意你的觀點 他是一位非常有經驗的老師,但….
