能不能換種表達法？讓你看起來更聰明，聽起來英文更好的2類句型！

如果想說「我喜歡吃餐廳，不喜歡在家自己煮。」除了 “I love eating in restaurants.” 之外，還有什麼表達方法嗎？

其實，我們可以試著「正話反說」——先說別人相反的觀點，再指出我們自己的觀點。這個技巧看似簡單，但真正到用的時候，往往會因緊張而忘記，除了 “I love eating in restaurants.” 之外，其他什麼都說不出。

無論是在作報告，寫論文，甚至在考雅思托福等大型考試時，這個方法都很實用！到底怎麼用呢？一起來看看。

1) Although

句型：Although some people…, I prefer… 儘管別人認為……，但我還是比較喜歡……

套用這個句式，我們就能把 “I love eating in restaurants. ”這句話改成：

Although some people love eating at home, I prefer eating at a restaurant.儘管有些人喜歡吃自己家裡煮的，但我還是比較喜歡去外面吃。

更多的例子還有：

Although some people prefer cats, I prefer dogs. 儘管有人喜歡貓，但我更喜歡狗。

Although some people prefer waking up early, I prefer waking up late. 儘管有人喜歡早起，我還是比較喜歡睡晚一點。

*注意： prefer doing sth. 或 prefer to do sth. 都有，表示「更傾向於做……」。不要把兩組混在一起，變成 prefer to doing sth.，這是錯的。

2) Even though

句型：Even though some people…, I prefer…

Even though some people love going to beaches, I’d rather go skiing. 即使有些人喜歡去海邊，但我還是更喜歡滑雪。

although 和 even though 表達的意思和使用方法都相同，所以可以互相替用。要注意的是：

1）although 和even though表示「儘管/雖然……但是……」，但不要照著中文的思維，在後半句加個 “but”。

如：Although/ Even though some people prefer cats, but I prefer dogs. （誤）

Although/ Even though some people prefer cats, I prefer dogs. （正）

2）逗號前後都必須是完整的句子（即有主語+動詞）

Although/ Even though + 主語1+ 動詞1 + 逗號, + 主語2+ 動詞2.

如：Although/Even though Canada（主語1） is （動詞1）a good country,（逗號，勿省略） Canada（主語2） has（動詞2） problems.

1) Despite ____, I prefer ______. 儘管……，但我還是喜歡……

Despite the advantages of living in the country, I prefer living in the city. 儘管鄉下也有很多優點，但我還是喜歡住在城市。

Despite the night life, I prefer to live in the country. 儘管城市有豐富有趣的夜生活，但我還是喜歡鄉下。

*注意：despite + 名詞n. ，不能加動詞v.

2) _____, nevertheless, ______. 儘管……，但我還是喜歡……

Some people like living in the city, nevertheless, I like living in the countryside. 儘管有些人喜歡住在城市，但我還是喜歡住鄉下。

Some people like playing computer games, nevertheless, I like reading books. 儘管有些人喜歡打電腦，但我還是比較喜歡看書。

Some people love their politicians, nevertheless, I find politicians are not always honest. 儘管有些人擁戴政治家，但我認為他們不夠誠實。

3) _____, however, _______.儘管……，但我還是喜歡……

Some people like movies, however, I don’t./ I prefer books. 儘管有些人喜歡電影，但我還是喜歡看書。
