Whatever 可以用在子句裡面。當 Whatever 用於子句時，意思通常是指「無論….怎樣」的意思。

例：
Do whatever you want – it is not my business.
你想做甚麼就做甚麼吧——不關我的事。

例：
You can eat whatever you like as long as it’s healthy.
你吃什麼都可以，只要是健康的。

例：
Whatever he said was right.
無論他說什麼都是對的。

例：
They eat whatever they can find.
他們吃任何他們能找到的東西。

Whatever 還可以用來表達「怎樣都行，無所謂」的意思，用於有人強迫自己同意他的觀點或做某事的的時候。

例：
