1. 六千牛肉湯

Legend has it that if you want Six Thousand Beef Soup, you’ll have to get up at four a.m. to get it…but it’s totally worth it! However, if that’s a bit too extreme for you, A-Cun Beef Soup on Bao’an Road also comes highly recommended. If you fancy yourself a beef soup connoisseur, check out this Facebook page: beefsouptn.
「六千牛肉湯」是傳說凌晨四點即必須開始排隊的名店，是否有幸吃到得看個人造化。但也非得單戀一枝花 ( 一隻 牛 )，鄰近的保安路「阿村牛肉湯」也頗受好評。對於牛肉湯有興趣深究的朋友，可到臉書專頁「我要征服台南牛肉 湯!!!」看看。 (facebook.com/beefsouptn)

TAINAN ARTMUSEUM
2. 臺南市立美術館

The newly inaugurated Tainan Art Museum (facebook.com/TainanArtMuseum) was designed by the Pritzker Architecture Prize-winning Japanese architect Shigeru Ban and Taiwanese architect Joe Shih. Building 1 of the museum was formerly the Tainan Police Department while building 2 is a unique pentagon inspired by the royal poinciana (also known as the phoenix flower). The neighboring National Museum of Taiwan Literature (facebook. com/NmtlTainan) was formerly the Tainan prefecture hall during the Japanese colonial period. Both museums will offer a glimpse into the rich history of Tainan and give you a view of exciting modern developments.
2019 年甫開放的「臺南市立美術館」 (facebook.com/TainanArtMuseum) 由普立茲克獎得主日本建築師?茂與台灣建 築師石昭永設計，一館原為臺南警察署，二館以市花「鳳凰花」為概念設計成五角形的特殊建築;鄰近的「國立臺灣 文學館」原為日治時期的臺南州廳，兩者無論是建築本體與館藏都相當精彩。 (facebook.com/NmtlTainan)

HAYASHI DEPARTMENT STORE
3. 林百貨

Shop at the historical Hayashi Department Store—the first department store to be built in the south of Taiwan— as well as awesome local select goods shops. In the old city of Tainan, you can find craftsmen practicing traditional crafts that are part of their heritage, such as the art of creating canvas bags. Head over to the famous He Cheng Canvas Store and Yung Sheng Canvas Store to shop around for a sturdy and gorgeous canvas bag.
到南台灣第一間百貨公司「林百貨」感受日式建築與風情，逛逛精選的在地好物。古城台南也傳承了許多職人工藝，手工帆布包便是其中之一，接著就到遠近馳名的「合成帆布行」與「永盛帆布行」，為自己添購一個耐看耐用的布包。

4. 孔廟周邊美食

Traditional Taiwanese lunch options abound in the area around the Tainan Confucian Temple—Klin Tai Bao, Fu’s Ba-wan, A-Quan Rice Cake, Yong’s Milkfish Ball, and He Xing Fresh Fish Soup are all long-standing local favorites that you should try. After you’ve eaten your fill, take a post-lunch walk in the Confucian Temple and enjoy the awe- inspiring architectural detail.
午餐來到全台首學「臺南孔廟」覓食，周邊的「克林台包」、「福記肉圓」、「檨仔林阿全碗粿」、「永記虱目魚丸」和「和興號鮮魚湯」都是台式古早味，全部吃完一輪後再轉進孔廟散步消化，欣賞明清時期的建築。

SICAO GREEN TUNNEL
5. 四草綠色隧道

Make your way to Sicao Dazhong Temple by bike or car and catch a 2:30 p.m. tour boat that takes you down the Sicao Green Tunnel, also known as Taiwan’s own modest version of the Amazon River. The green tunnel is a river that boasts the largest variety of mangrove tree species. Along the river you will also see historical remnants of the Dutch Ocean Castle and internal tariff bureau. Get your camera ready because the staff of the boat are known to make stops at all the best places for pictures. Another more modern sight to behold is the Taijian National Park tourist center, a scaffolded white building built above the river. The boat fare is NTD 200 per person (4grass.com).
吃飽喝足騎車或搭車前往「四草大眾廟」，買票等待下午兩點半的固定船班，準備搭著竹筏穿越號稱是台灣版的亞馬遜河 ( 稍嫌誇大 ) 的「四草綠色隧道」。這裡的紅樹林種類數量為全台之冠，沿岸也可見荷蘭海堡和釐金局等歷史遺跡，貼心的工作人員還會在拍照最漂亮的河段停下來讓大家拍個夠。另外周邊的「台江國家公園遊客中心」，以蓋在水面上的白色水上高腳屋建築聞名，若有時間也可停留造訪。綠色隧道船票:新台幣 200 元 (4grass.com)

A QUICK TOUR Of ANPING
6.快閃安平

If you have time to spare, I would highly recommend scheduling a good half day to explore the Anping area. Start from the Anping Old Fort (formerly known as Fort Zeelandia), built during the Dutch colonial era in the 17th century. Make your way to the beautifully preserved Former Tait & Co. Merchant House, which was founded during the Qing Dynasty when Anping harbor became one of the first Taiwanese harbors to be opened to international trade. Over the years, the warehouse of the former merchant house has been overtaken by banyan trees and is now known as the Anping Tree House.
其實時間若充足，更為悠閒緩慢的安平值得安排半日遊。探訪台南最早開發的安平地帶，不妨先從17世紀遊荷蘭人建置的堡壘「安平古堡」 (舊名熱蘭遮城) 開始逛起。接著前往保存完善的「英商德記洋行」，安平在清領時期開港，吸引各國洋商來此建立商行。德記洋行的倉庫如今也成為觀光熱門景點「安平樹屋」，建築與榕樹交融共生的特殊景觀為其特色。

RELAX ON YUGUANG ISLAND
7. 漁光島放風放空

Yuguang Island, about 15 minutes away from Anping by bike, offers a smooth beach from where you can admire a stunning Tainan sunset. Sunset-chasers will start appearing at dusk, so get here early and secure a good spot. If you’re lucky, you will be here for one of the rare fiery red sunsets.
從安平騎車約15分鐘即可抵達舊稱三鯤鯓的「漁光島」海邊，有著能光腳踩踏的細沙和美麗的日落，坐擁漁光島的台南市民真是令人羨慕阿。每到傍晚時分，追逐夕陽人潮漸漸湧現，運氣好的話可在此觀賞火燒雲的特殊景象。經過今日白天充實的行程，就讓我們在此和台南的太陽好好說聲再見。

BAO’AN STREET
8. 保安街

Bao’an Street is the perfect place to sample a wide variety of local dinner staples. A-Ming’s Pig Heart Vermicelli is one of the most popular options—you have to order their pork knuckle dish. Go to A-Feng Milkfish Soup for soup with generous chunks of fresh milkfish and A-Long Sausage and Cured Meat for their assorted plate—which includes sausage, pork intestine, sticky rice sausage, shrimp rolls, and crab balls—paired with sweet soy paste and wasabi. Afterwards, sit on a bench and sip on one of my personal favorite drinks from is A-Qing Almond Tea and watch the foodies eat their way through Bao’an Street. If you’re a little too stuffed, walk it off in Blueprint Culture and Creative Park.
晚餐在保安街一路吃到底，「阿明豬心冬粉」為排隊首選，豬腳必點。接著到「阿鳳浮水虱目魚羹」，品嚐有整塊虱目魚的甘甜魚湯，再到「阿龍香腸熟肉」吃俗稱「黑白切」的各式小菜，香腸、粉腸、糯米腸、蝦捲和蟳丸應有盡有，配上甜甜的醬油膏和哇沙米，非常合嗜甜的台南人口味。我個人最愛「阿卿杏仁茶」( 冰 )，坐在門外的小板凳上，看著追逐美食的吃貨，穿越其中，怪有情調。如果不小心吃得太撐，可以到鄰近的「藍晒圖文創園區」散散步。

COCKTAILS OR SNACKS
9.調酒或消夜

There’s been a recent influx of bars in Tainan and many are located in difficult-to-find spots— you may need to rely on Google Maps and a bit of luck to locate them. Bar Home is located in a spacious courtyard, they offer refreshingly unique cocktails that incorporate seasonal and local fruits such as hibiscus and pineapple. I also highly recommend Bistro in the Back, a secluded bar that offers a wide variety of delicious cocktails. If you’re still up for a snack, I suggest trying out Yi Ling Wu, a Yakitori restaurant owned by a Japanese Yakitori chef; their chicken sashimi is to die for.
近年來台南酒吧一家家開，多數藏在很難找到的位置，必須靠 Google Map 和一點運氣才能入內，「Bar Home」為「TCRC」調酒師新闢的大宅院，同樣熱門，許多調酒皆選用在地當季的新鮮水果，像是洛神花、鳳梨等，讓人驚喜。酒吧也推薦「後面還有小酒館」，美味的調酒讓人期待後面還有沒有。宵夜則有日本師傅開立的串燒店「串工房-一 鈴屋」，其「生雞片」堪稱一絕。
