“seek”、”search”和”find”這三個英文單字都有「找」的意思，感覺好像是通用的，但其實不盡然喔！Let’s talk的Rachna老師整理出了這3個單字分別的詳細定義，並舉出例句做說明，快來看看它們的用法有何不同吧！
1. Seek 尋求、尋找
“seek”有尋求的意思，表示尋找的對象並非實體物品。
ex. Are you actively seeking jobs? 你正積極地找工作嗎？
ex. I think it’s time we sought legal advice. 我想現在是我們尋求法律諮詢的時候了。
ex. The company is seeking new ways to improve service. 公司正在尋求新的方式來改善服務。
2. Search 搜尋、搜索
“search”有搜索的意思，是指在一個地方徹底地尋找某個物品。
ex. Police searched for clues in the area. 警察在該地區尋找線索。
ex. He has been searching his key all day. 他一整天都在找他的鑰匙。
ex. She searched the Web for information about the car. 她在網路上搜尋有關汽車的資訊。
ex. He searched her face, hoping to see some glimmer of emotion. 他在她臉上搜索，希望能看到一些笑意。
3. find 發現
“find”是指發現、感覺到某件事。
ex. I have found a good restaurant near the office. 我在辦公室附近找到了一家好餐廳。
ex. I found my glasses under the table. 我在桌子底下找到我的眼鏡。
ex. He found great comfort in his work. 他在他的工作中找到了很大的安慰。
ex. I often find myself thinking about her. 我經常發覺自己在想她。
