健身房在美國儼然成為一個重要的社交場合,在這裡談論最多的,就是身體——對身材的期望、如何運動身體、還有渾身痠痛的感覺⋯⋯。

使用健身房設備實用句

I want to get in shape.

firm up 使⋯⋯緊實

Rope jumping is a great way to firm up your legs.
跳繩是緊實腿部很棒的方法。

lift 舉起

Can you lift that dumbbell over your head?
你可以把啞鈴舉過你的頭嗎?

exhale / inhale 吐氣,呼氣/吸氣

My trainer told me to exhale when I lift weights, and then inhale when I lower them.
我的教練跟我說舉重時要吐氣,放下 時要吸氣。

trim 減去

I need to trim my waistline before I can t into that dress.
