1. It cost a fortune.
花了一大筆錢,指花費了大量的金錢。
ex. It cost me a fortune to get my car fixed/repaired.
2. It cost an arm and a leg.
形容價格非常的昂貴。
ex. These concert tickets/ this painting cost us an arm and a leg!
3. That’s a rip off.
定價過高,超過它應有的價值,有被「敲竹槓」的意味在。
ex. When I took a taxi from the airport, it was a rip-off. The driver overcharged me.
4. That’s bit pricey.
稍嫌有點貴。
ex. I think you can buy another jacket because this one’s a bit too pricey.
5. I can’t afford it.
買不起、無法負擔購買該商品的金錢。
ex. I can’t afford this car, right now it will cost me a fortune. Maybe we can buy it in the future.
以下是指價格合理的:
6. That’s quite reasonable.
價格合理、公道。
ex. I went to a really popular mall in Dubai and I was expecting it to be a bit pricey however to my surprise it turned out to be quite reasonable.
7. That’s a good deal.
指很划算、這筆錢花得值得。
以下是指有折扣的情況:
8. It’s 20% off.
20%的折扣,也就是打八折。
ex. I availed 20 % off on the overall purchase.
以下是指非常的便宜:
9. It was a real bargain.
買到的價格比平常或是預期中便宜許多。
ex. These beach T-shirts were a real bargain at the local bazaar and if I got them from the mall they would have cost me a fortune.
10. It was dirt cheap.
非常的便宜。
